When students aren’t feeling well, they may have a more difficult time learning. Providing children with access to health care at school puts them in a better position to learn. Health Centers that are located in a school, where students can receive a range of services including primary care, mental health, and other social support services– without ever leaving school property serve the neediest students and play an important role in making health care more accessible for economically disadvantaged students and others that experience barriers to care.
