Zack has been a trusted leader, strategist, and implementer in health and human services organizations for nearly a decade. He is known for his ability to quickly turn ideas into clear strategies, program designs, implementation plans, and impactful written pieces. A former management consultant in McKinsey & Company’s healthcare practice, he has advised major hospital systems, health insurance companies, and Medicaid agencies on a wide range of strategic and operational topics. Zack spent six years in executive leadership at North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services, serving in Chief of Staff, Chief Operating Officer, and Assistant Secretary roles. Zack earned a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Harvard University and is a contributing writer for Health Affairs, The New Yorker, and other publications.
